What is mean by backplane speed in Cisco switches?

The backplane capacity would indicate how much bandwidth is available for data between the modules. So a maximum of 8.8 Gbps data can flow between the modules / or to the CPU and back. So this is one of the things affecting the performance of the device.

I want to share  the phenomenal book i  came across for CCNA by Todd Lamle. I understand the subjects better than any other Cisco book I’ve read. This book covers the CCENT and CCNA R/S  leaving nothing out, but really honing in on what you need to know to pass the exam.
